WHAT TO EXPECT

Welcome to Auburn Hills Doodles & Poodles!

At Auburn Hills Doodles & Poodles, we are committed to providing the best possible start in life for our puppies. Our breeding philosophy is centered around nurturing and training your puppy from the very beginning to ensure they are well-prepared for their forever homes. With a focus on responsible breeding practices, comprehensive training, and top-notch veterinary care, we are dedicated to producing happy, healthy, and well-adjusted puppies. Contact us to learn more about our available puppies and breeding practices.

Our Approach to Puppy Care

Your puppy is lovingly cared for by both their mother and our family during their critical first 8 weeks of life. This foundational period is crucial for their development, and we work tirelessly to establish a routine that sets them up for success. We've already kick-started their potty training and crate training through our Puppy Curriculum. By the time your puppy is ready to go to their forever home, they will have a strong foundation in potty training and sleeping through the night.

Bringing a puppy into your family is akin to welcoming a new baby. There will be an initial adjustment period for both your family and the puppy, and we believe that patience is the key to nurturing a happy and well-trained companion. Our puppies are raised in a loving environment that encourages their growth and socialization.

Health and Well-being

At 8 weeks of age, your puppy undergoes a final vet check, de-worming, and receives their first recommended vaccinations. You will receive detailed records of their vet examinations and vaccinations obtained from our trusted veterinary partner. We strongly recommend having your new puppy vet-checked by your preferred veterinarian within the first 72 hours of bringing them home. This early examination not only ensures their health but also helps establish a long-term health care plan.

Our puppies come with a one-year health guarantee for any hereditary diseases or conditions outlined in our contract. Please note that this health guarantee is contingent on the puppy being examined by your preferred vet within the specified timeframe. Rest assured, each puppy leaves our care in good health and ready to embark on their new journey with you.

The Goldendoodle Advantage

Golden Retrievers and Poodles are renowned for their intelligence, trainability, and suitability for families. These friendly, affectionate dogs thrive in a family environment, and their eagerness to please and playful nature make them loyal companions. When these two exceptional breeds are combined, you get the remarkable Goldendoodle. Our responsible breeding practices prioritize temperament and genetics, resulting in Goldendoodles that offer the best of both worlds.

Goldendoodles have proven their worth as guide dogs, service dogs, and therapy dogs. Their adaptability shines through in activities like agility and obedience training. If you're seeking a versatile and well-rounded companion, the Goldendoodle is an excellent choice.

Our Commitment to You

It's important to note that as the breeder, we reserve the right to first and second picks from each litter. While we may not always choose to exercise these options, they provide us with the flexibility to ensure the best outcomes for our puppies. We prioritize the well-being and safety of our puppies above all else. Therefore, if at any point during the process, we believe that a potential owner is not a suitable fit for our puppies, we reserve the right to halt the process and decline the sale. This commitment ensures that our puppies find loving and appropriate forever homes.

***We cannot guarantee the size and coat colors. Genetics can be tricky, and no test can guarantee exact traits or weight of a puppy as an adult.

PUPPY TRAINING & ENRICHMENT

We believe it is important to start puppies off on the right paw with confidence building, basic manners, and obedience at an early age, so they are set up for success in their new homes. We do Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction training from 3 days until 16 days (about 2 and a half weeks) of age and then the puppies are trained using Puppy Culture Curriculum and other curriculums we put together. They are raised among young kids, other adult dogs within our household and are exposed to all household noise, outdoor noise such as thunderstorms, fireworks, car, trains, airplanes, etc. They start litterbox potty training as soon as they start learning to walk. They go on car rides and play in the water whether it’s a toddler pool or bathtub depending on weather.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) are 5 exercises that are performed for 3-5 seconds when the puppies are between 3-16 days old. The benefits of ENS are:
*Improved Cardiovascular performance (heart rate)
*Stronger heart beats
*Stronger adrenal glands
*More tolerance to stress
*Greater resistance to disease

Early Scent Introduction (ESI) expose the puppy to a different pungent scent each day. We hold each puppy close to our chest while allowing them to smell the scent of the day. The benefits of ESI are nose awareness and confidence. Great for hunting, tracking, and diabetic alert dogs (to name a few). We use scents that are found in the environment, as well as spices and herbs.
